Q. When do I need to order to ensure delivery for Christmas?
A. Please order by midnight Sunday 17th December for Christmas delivery. Any orders after this will be dispatched out but at your own discretion.
Q. Do you charge VAT?
A. We charge the appropriate rate of VAT on relevant products and delivery charges.
Q. Do you offer a guarantee?
A. Of course, we are so confident you will enjoy our products we offer a no quibble guarantee. If you are not totally happy with your Taste of Arran purchase please contact us to arrange return, and we will reimburse your credit / debit card.
Q. I think I’ve made a mistake with my order- can I change it?
A. We cannot make any changes to your order if the goods have already been dispatched, but we do pride ourselves on offering first rate service. If you have recently placed your order please contact us and we will do everything in our power to fulfill your request.
Q. Are featured products always available?
A. We’re not like your local supermarket – we don’t hold large quantities of stock. We do however, go to great lengths to bring you top quality Scottish food, much of it from small artisan producers, so very occasionally certain products may be unavailable. If this happens, we will substitute a similar product of equal or higher value.
Q. What happens if you get my order wrong?
A. In the unlikely event that we make an error with your order, you can be assured of an immediate apology, followed by some swift action on our part to rectify our mistake. Our top priority is to ensure that you’re not just satisfied by our service, but are delighted by it!
For orders which have an item missing, or have the wrong item included, we promise to fully refund the correct amount to your credit card, or to immediately send a replacement item at our expense: the choice is yours.
Q. I’m coming to Arran on holiday – can you deliver an order to my holiday cottage?
A. Yes – and what a wonderful way to begin your holiday on this magical isle! Let us do the hard work for you – we’ll bring the cream of the Arran Larder direct to your door. Just fill in the address of your accommodation in the Delivery Information page and use the special instructions box to let us know what date you require delivery and to confirm that we can get access to the property.
Q. When will you deliver my order?
A. Your goods will generally be delivered within 48 hours* of your payment being confirmed, and will be delivered to you between the hours of 9am & 5pm Monday – Friday. If you have a preferred delivery date in mind, please tell us this in the Special Instructions Box during checkout and we will do our best to accommodate this.
*As a rule we do not process orders for delivery over the weekend as we cannot guarantee a 48 hour delivery time. We only dispatch on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday if your order contains chilled products. If we receive your order after Wednesday 11am we will dispatch the following week. Please also be aware that all parcels are dispatched to the mainland by ferry which can very occasionally be delayed by bad weather, in which case we will dispatch your order at the first opportunity.
Once we have dispatched your order from the island, we’ll send an email to let you know. Your order will be delivered by Parcelforce whom we find to be highly reliable. Please make sure someone is available to sign for the package – this is especially important if you have ordered chilled foods. If you think you’ll be out, why not have your package delivered to you at work, or give us the address of a friend or neighbour who can accept the package for you – you can tell us about these special instructions on the order summary or delivery detail pages prior to checkout.
Q. How much do you charge for delivery?
A. We make a charge of £6 plus VAT for delivery to anywhere in the UK.

Q. Do you deliver abroad?
A. Sadly, we cannot presently deliver outside the UK.
Q. How does my order stay fresh?
A. Soft cheese, haggis & black pudding will be delivered in thermally insulated packaging with ice-packs that have been thoroughly tested to keep the food completely chilled until you receive it. The products we supply are of the highest quality and freshness but you should plan to transfer any perishable products, such as cheese, haggis & black pudding, into your fridge as soon as possible.
Q. Can I reuse the ice-packs that come with my order?
A. Yes, you can, just pop them in the freezer overnight and they are ready to use. We are looking to become even more environmentally friendly and will soon be offering a return service for all of our packaging. Please contact us if you would like to re-cycle our packaging.
Q. Can I order by phone?
A. Yes – we can process orders by phone, please have your credit or debit card to hand.
