Taste of Arran Scoops Tourism Award

A Taste of Arran, famous for distributing top quality food and drink from the beautiful Clyde Island to all corners of the UK, beat off fierce competition to win the Catering in Scotland Excellence Award in the Food & Tourism category, at a glittering award ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow last night.

‘We’ve always tried to highlight our fantastic unspoilt environment as this is really the secret ingredient which makes all our products so special.’ said company MD Alastair Dobson after picking up the award. ‘Our customers are as interested in the island as they are in our food – we know that product and place go hand-in-hand. I’m delighted to receive this level of industry recognition for what we’re doing’.

Dr Terry Steven’s, Stevens & Associates, added, ‘Taste of Arran is fundamentally an expression of all that is good about the Island. The company’s activities have substantially contributed to Arran’s success as a tourism destination’.

The company sells an impressive range of produce from such a small island: from the ever popular whisky, cheeses and oatcakes to organic salad packs, ice creams and award winning beer.
